Mrs. Anne Jean Haulcombe Motz, retired educator and widow of the late Mr. James Motz (Veteran), passed away peacefully on October 01, 2022. She was a native of South Carolina and lived in the state of New York for several years before relocating to Winston-Salem, NC in the late 1940s. She honed a career in teaching and built an incomparable network of friendships and associates as a WSSU alumna and member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. In her final Directive she stated the following, "My sincere request is no sadness. May all who knew me in life remember me as they knew me. Throughout life I gave you my smiles now give me yours. No tears." In death, Mrs. Motz joins her husband, her beautiful mother (Grace Miller), her courageous father (Boyce Haulcombe) along with older brothers (Harvey and James), and at last her precious chihuahua (Mimi). Mrs. Motz leaves to mourn an Entire Community of loved ones who she cherished and treated as her family.
