Obituary

Charles Stanley Trexler departed this world to meet his heavenly father surrounded by family on March 14, 2022. He was 70 years old. He is survived by four children: Charles T. (Amy)Trexler, Kevin M.(Mary) Trexler, Carrie L. (Jason) Mocyk and Katie Trexler-Powers. He was a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren. Chuck had nine siblings: Arlene (John) King, Stella (Darrel) Bort, Diane Trexler, Chris (Joe) Guanciale, Kim (Steve) Miklajcyk, Teresa (Mark) Chapman, Keith Trexler and Mark (Pam) Trexler. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Linda McKeen.
"Chuck" was born on March 19, 1951 in Syracuse, New York to Charles W. and Muriel A. Trexler. He graduated from Charles W. Baker High School (Baldwinsville, NY) in 1969. He served for two years (1969 - 1971) in the United States Marine Corp. and then graduated from Morrisville Agricultural and Technical College. Chuck worked at different golf courses, Caryl Electric, Carrier Corp and eventually became a member of and retired from IBEW Local 43. His most recent place of employment was Vibra Healthcare as a building engineer. He retired in 2017.
Chuck was known for his empathetic spirit and great hugs. He was thoughtful and filled in many voids in people's lives. We all will miss his silly voicemails wishing us a happy birthday. In Chuck's younger years he loved riding motorcycles with his brothers, son and friends. He was most proud of all of his children's accomplishments, especially his son Chuck's sobriety and his son Kevin becoming a licensed pilot. Chuck spent his retirement years as a member of the Badin Shores Resort Community in New London, NC. He spent many nights singing Karaoke and enjoying time with friends. He loved to fish, help his neighbors and participate in the different activities at the resort. The family is forever grateful for BSR's love for Chuck.
Services for Chuck will be held at 1pm on April 2, 2022 at the Erwin First United Methodist Church located at 920 Euclid Avenue Syracuse NY 13210. Donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Service.
