Mrs.Cozette Brooks Hatchett transitioned to her heavenly home on January 5, 2023 surrounded by her husband of 30 years of marital bliss and family.

She was born to the late Lewis Huggins and Kozett Brooks on January 7, 1951.

She is survived by her husband Mr. Elroy Hatchett 30 years, her one son, Mr. William Lee (Jeanette) Alexander Jr., four daughters, Rhonda (Terry) Caldwell, Tracy Alexander, Sharona Alexander, Brittany Couser, two stepsons, Michael Hatchett and Paris Hatchett. 21 grandchildren, DeKarris, DeNorris, Jana, Kadeidra, Tiffany, Stephanie, Tiagra, Reginald, Infinity, Lartanzia, Latrone, Jermaine, Jeffrey, Timothy, Jerrierica, Aneatshura, Tamia,Tynyssa, Robin, Kamren, Lillyanna. 34 great-grandchildren. Two brother-in-laws: Mr.Tyrone (Deborah) Hatchett, Anthony (Sabrena) Hatchett, four sister-in-laws, Ms.Iris Hatchett, Ms. Guscil Hatchett, Mrs.Otelia Boyd, Ms.Loretta Hatchett. Devoted cousins, Ms.Kathy Cunningham, Mr.Tony(Rhonda)Brooks, Mrs.Sandra Smith. Stepdaughter, Diane Bunn and two stepsons, Darren Richardson and Quentin Wilkins. Devoted friends: (late) William Lee Alexander Sr., Irvin(Roslyn) Payne, Mrs.Cathey Hailstock, Mrs.Wanda (David) Williams, Mrs.Sheila (Franklin) Johnson, Mrs.Mona (Jessie) Burgess, Ms.Carmen Reeves, and a host of loved ones, family and friends.
A public viewing will be held Wednesday January 11, 2023, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 12, 2023, at 11:30am from Exodus Baptist Chruch. The family will receive friends at 11:00am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
