Elliott D. Lowery, a native of Winston Salem, NC, was born June 26, 1960. He peacefully made his transition to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
Elliott was a graduate from East Forsyth High School. He also graduated from Winston Salem State University and Jackson State University receiving his Bachelor of Science and Master Degrees in Music Education. During his theater career, he toured with musical productions in New York and internationally in Europe. Elliott not only a cast member in productions but he was a director, producer, choreographer and playwright.

As an educator, Elliott made a significant impact to students and faculty. He taught music in Las Vegas, NV and Bronx, NY. Most recently, he retired from the Winston Salem Forsyth County School system.

Elliott Lowery was preceded in death by his father, James O. Lowery and his sister, Delphenia Washington.

Elliott is survived by his mother, Audrey Lowery, his doggy daughter Kylie Montana, his siblings Larion (Thelma) Lowery, Vernard Lowery, Undray (David) Rollinson, Desmond Lowery and Karen (Richard) Peoples, a host of nieces and nephews, close friends Reginald (Aimee) McCaskill, Tony Gallimore and Logan Reynolds and all other special friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 11:30am at St. Peter's Church and World Outreach Center located at 3683 Old Lexington Rd. Winston Salem, NC 27107.The family will receive friend at 11:00am at the church. After services the family will receive friends at The Enterprise Conference and Event Center at 1922 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Winston Salem, NC 27107 after the services Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
