Ms. Gale Armayne Fields was born on February 20, 1955, to Johnny Fields and Catherine Scott Fields in Winston-Salem, NC. who both preceded her in death.
Gale attended Anderson High School and graduated from Parkland High School. Gale never stopped her; quest for knowledge, consistently taking computer science and coding classes. She also attended Salem College and was a member of several Non-Profit Organizations.
Gale was employed with Volvo for many years and later retired from Time Warner Cable. Gale loved to travel; most of all, she loved to shop and had a sense of style like no other. Gale had a passion for sewing and would make beautiful African-printed aprons and caftans. She would always say, "sewing is where I would find my peace" She was also an avid lover of the arts and would frequently volunteer with the National Black Theater Festival and attend many, of the stage plays.
The memory of Ms. Gale Fields will always be cherished; by her son Mr. Damon Lavonne Fields, Sr (Rosetta) of Durham, NC. Her grandchildren, Damon Jahleel Fields, Jr, and Ajacia Armayne Fields. Her beloved and devoted sister Mrs. Marianne Little (Benjamin) of Winston-Salem, NC, and the niece she adored Mrs. Vonda Farrow (Gorran) of Raleigh, NC.
She has a host of family and friends.
Ms. Michelle Murphy of Fort Mills, SC, and Mr. Benjamin McCarter of Corning, NY. will always hold, a very special place in her heart. A public viewing will be held Thursday November 10, 2022, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Friday November 11, 2022, at 1pm from Douthit's. Family will receive friends at 12:30pm. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
