Mrs. Gloria Ingram's Obituary

Gloria Anita "Neet" Ingram was born on May 22, 1946 to the late
Weldon Alex Hall and the late Isabelle Howell Hall of Canton, NC
transitioned on to be with the Lord on January 24, 2021. At an early age,
Gloria accepted the Lord when she was only ten years old. She was
baptized by the late Rev. B.F. Brewer and became an active member of
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Gloria faithfully participated in Sunday
School, BTU, and Vacation Bible School until she left to attend college.
Later on in life, Gloria returned to Canton to take care of her mother and
reunited with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under "Watch Care" where
she continued to be active at Pleasant Grove in the Women's Missionary
Auxiliary.
Gloria attended Reynolds School and graduated from Reynolds High
School in 1964. Gloria was an honor student all through school, she
played on the basketball team, and was a member of the marching band.
After graduating from high school, Gloria went on to attend Winston-Salem State University. While residing in Winston-Salem, NC she met
and married Willie D. Ingram, her true love and life-long mate of almost
50 years.

Gloria worked at Hanes Hosiery for several years before being employed
by RJ Reynolds Inc. in 1978 and retired from RJ Reynolds in 2003.
While living in Winston-Salem, Gloria became a member of Union
Baptist Church where she joyfully attended weekly services and joyously
fellowshipped with her fellow Christians in the Lord. She also served on
the Usher Board.
Gloria was a woman known for her friendly nature and her acts of
kindness. Everyone loved her delicious and mouth-watering Coconut,
German Chocolate, and pound cakes which she generously shared with
everyone she knew. Gloria was a loving daughter, a devoted wife, a
wonderful mother, and an awesome sister. She was a fantastic
grandmother, great-grandmother, and auntie because she spoiled them all
rotten and showered them with lots of gifts on birthdays and especially
Christmas.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father-Weldon A. Hall, mother Isabelle H. Hall, and brother-Calvin Kenneth Hall.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband-Willie D. Ingram, Jr.,
daughter-Hope A. Hall of Charlotte,NC, two grandsons-Tony Marcelis
Hall and DiJoun Tyrick Hall both of Winston-Salem, NC, one great
granddaughter -MaKenzie Noelle Baker of High Point, NC, one brother Weldon Boyd Hall (wife Jean) of Canton, NC, and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
She will be forever missed by all family and friends. A public viewing will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's, . A private funeral will be held Tuesday February 2, 2021 and interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
