Kevin McLean, passed away unexpectedly, Friday September 20, 2024, at the age of 45. Born on February 27, 1979, in Winston Salem, NC. Kevin was a good man who faced the challenges of life with unwavering strength and love. His passing was completely unexpected, the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Kevin didn't say a lot but when he did it was normally followed by a laugh and a big smile. Kevin attended the WSFC schools and worked for Churches Chicken for many years Kevin will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Wyvonnie McLean, his grandparents John and Willie Mae West and three brothers: Randolph Adams, Leo Adams Jr., and Hazel Adams. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.

Kevin leaves behind tons of cherished memories. He is survived by his children: Kevon Powell, Erica Mims, Cintrell Johnson, Aliyah Glenn, Jakhayis Glenn, Kwali Benjamin, and one granddaughter Journie. His father, H. Leo Adams Sr. His sisters; Janet Adams, Annie D. Blackwell (James), Reverand Peggie A. Wells, Angie McConneyhead, Donna McLean King, and Katina Adams. His uncles: Herman West, Anthony Scott, Robert Adams Jr. and Floyd Price whom he affectionately called Uncle. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family and friends of BDP.
A public viewing will be held Monday September 30, 2024, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 1, 2024, at 12:30pm from Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 12:00 pm. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
