Obituary

Lavie Ruth Lee Fields was born May 6, 1932 to Angelo Lee and Corine James. Lavie spent her childhood in Williamson, West Virginia until the age of 16 when she moved back to Winston-Salem, NC. She met and married Samuel K. Fields, Sr and from that union came six children. Lavie worked in food services for many years. She was an excellent cook, she loved to tell jokes, she loved music and dancing, and she loved spending time with her family. She had strong faith in the Lord and was a lifelong member of Fields White to Harvest Ministries.Lavie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Emma Cooper Pressley, Robbie James Hughes,
Jacqueline Cooper, Clinton Brown and Lemuel Lee Cooper, and son Samuel K. Fields, Jr. She is survived by her sister Helen Harper (Kenneth) of Philadelphia, PA, her five children Malinda Williams, Constance
Williams, Verlie Fields (Jackie), Davie Fields (Lula) and Wanda Fields, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all of her loved ones Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services. A memorial services will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 11:00am from Douthit's. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services
