safety.* Marvin Fulwood, Sr., 77, transitioned from his earthly body and gained his heavenly wings on April 1,2025 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in
Winston-Salem, N.C. Marvin was born on
February 1, 1948 in Salters S.C. to the late Willie James Fulwood and Rose
Belle McKnight. Marvin began his working career at Merita Bakery in 1968 for 16 years and
then transitioned over to U.S. Airways in 1984 where he retired in 2013. Marvin was a Trustee and dedicated member of St. Mark Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, N.C. He loved singing on the male choir. He won numerous awards from St. Mark for his honorary work ethics. Marvin loved fishing. hunting and he enjoyed gardening. Most inplortantly, he had a strong joy for
cooking amazing southern meals. Marvin leaves to cherish his loving memory to his wife, Jeannette Gloria Fulwood of 55 years. Their two children, Marvin Fulwood, Jr. (Tawanda) and Steven Fulwood (LaKeasa). Marvin also leaves to cherish his two other children, DeShawn Hardy (Nioka) and Amanda Hardy-Milliken (Byron) by Belinda J. Hardy. His two siblings: Robinson Fulwood (Janice) of Fuquay-Varina in Raleigh, N.C. and Carlatta Miller (Keith), of Winston-Salem, NC., right along with a host of grandchildren, great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Marvin is proceeded in death by his parents: Willie James and Rose Belle Fulwood; Rev. Dr. James Fulwood (Hattie), Sarah V/Fulwood, Jeffery Fulwood, Leroy Fulwood, Mildred Fulwood, Earl Fulwood, and Rosa Mae
Fulwood.
A public viewing will be held Monday April 7, 2025 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 8, 2025 at 12pm from St. Mark Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 11:30am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
