Ms. Matilda Glover's Obituary

Minister Matilda Ann "Till" Glover, 70, went to her home in glory, to be with her Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ on Friday, October 31, 2024. A native of Winston-Salem, NC born on July 22,
1954, to the late Mr. Johnny and Louise Moore. Matilda grew up in Winston-Salem and attended Carver High School. She received her motivational training certificate from Forsyth Technical Community College, which she proudly used professionally and in her personal relationships. Matilda was a former employee of Western Electric, and she served as a top rank Security Officer for various agencies for several years. She
also worked as a Daycare Teacher for Family Services Incorporated until her health began to
decline. Minister Glover accepted the Lord at an early age and remained a willing and cheerful servant
singing, praying, and preaching her entire life. She was licensed to preach the Gospel on January
2, 2005, at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church under the Reverend Dr. James Fulwood, and
served as an associate minister there. She was also a member of the choir, praise team,
transportation ministry and attended Bible Study. She also participated in the Forsyth County
Baptist Training Institute. She received a 2024 Certificate of Appreciation for her outstanding
support in helping St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She also supported Shriner Children's
Hospital and families battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases and when they sent her
the children's pictures and their names she would pray for them. She loved to sing God's praises and her passion, love, and gratefulness of who God had been to her was undeniable. She sang in several Gospel Groups in Winston-Salem, namely, The Gospel Melonaires, and The Sensational Singing Stars. She was a repeat performer in the Kernersville Senior Idol, winning 2nd place. She loved to cook for her family and community. She was a prayer warrior, who would ALWAYS pray with and encourage others. She was diligent in making others feel loved and put a smile on the faces of others with her consistent sense of humor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Moore (Angela
Moore-Reid). She leaves to carry her legacy, two loving and devoted children, Michael Jackson
of Winston-Salem and Tamika Jackson of Charlotte, NC, a granddaughter D'Neesha Lane, and
two great-grandchildren Zhair and Gabrielle Morris. Also, eight siblings: Mattie Sanders (Marion
Sanders) of Charleston, SC, Deaconess Stella Davis, Elder Ernest Moore (Reverend Rodella
Moore) of Philadelphia, PA, Jimmy Moore, Minister Debra Fraizer (Lassister Fraizer, late), Ruby
Gaither, Deacon Kenny Moore, Minister Sandra Moore. A host of Nieces, Nephews, great nieces,
great-nephews, other family members, her best friend Shirley Wiggins, and her Ca'Ville Coffee
Group: Lisa Banner, Josh Banner, and Ja'lyn Brown. She was a loving mother, devoted friend, sister, aunt, grandmother, and all-around sweet person, who never met a stranger. One of her favorite sayings was, "God never brings you halfway across the river, He brings you all the way through". Minister Matilda Ann Glover was a true warrior for Jesus Christ and leaves a truly powerful legacy that reminds us that it is not the length of our days but indeed the depth of our days that will count the most.
