Mr. Montego Leon King departed this earthly life on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. He was born May 9, 1972, in Winston Salem, North Carolina to Mrs. Barbara Brock King and the late Mr. James Leroy King.
A product of Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools also known as "Man or Tego". He was of the Methodist faith and as a youth he was Baptized and attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church. He was very much involved as a youth playing football, participating in karate, and attending the Boys Club. Montego was employed as Amazon Prime of Colfax, N.C.
He was proceeded in death by his father Mr. James King, grandmother Mrs. Ruth Brock, Uncle Mr. James Brock, and cousin Mr. Reginald Brock
He leaves to cherish is precious memories, his mother Mrs. Barbara Brock King, one sister Mrs. La-Vaiter K. McCorkle (Ernest), bonus sister Mrs. Sharelle Landingham (Paul), one stepsister and one stepbrother, Ms. April Hines, and Mr. David Reid, one daughter Ms. Ashley McCall, one son Mr. Chrissiar Brooks, three grandchildren Ashton Vinson, Amor Couser, and Ja'rye Jones, five loving aunts, Ms. Carolyn Brock, Mrs. Mattie Brock, Mrs. Gwendolyn Barkley (John), Mrs. Loretta Jackson, and Mrs. Toni Lyles, one uncle Mr. Luther Brock (Rhonda Brock) one devoted nephew Mr. De'Marko Jones, and four loving nieces Ms. Ashley, Monica, Dominique, and Cheyenne McCorkle, and two very devoted cousins Mr. Antonio Brock and Mr. Jadon Barkley; and a host of family and friends.
His humor and smile will be missed by all that knew and loved him. A public viewing will be held Tuesday May 9, 2023, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 10, 2023, at 1pm from Douthit's. Family will receive friends at 12:30pmArrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.,.
