Mr. Percy Payne, 72, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020.
Percy is survived by his three children Cheryl Payne Ingram (Antonio) of Winston-Salem, Larry Payne (Mary) of High Point, Percy Payne Jr of Winston-Salem.
He had 7 grandchildren, Ricky Johnson, Emanuel Johnson, Carlos Johnson, Khalid Riviers, Ebony Payne, D'Angelo Payne, and Ashley Payne, his Pookie Baby who cared for him for many years. Along with 10 great grandchildren, as well as a host of close family and friends.

Percy was born on September 4,1947 in Winston-Salem, NC to Clifton Payne and Earisteen Bohannon Payne.
He graduated from Paisley High School in 1965. He worked for RJReynolds Tobacco company for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church under the late Rev. J.R. Samuels and a current member of Union Baptist Church before he fell ill. Percy was a beloved softball coach and umpire, as well as a professional photographer.
He was a very social and loved man, very passionate about his family and friends. He will always be remembered as an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan!
