Obituary

Ms. Queenie Magdlean Cunningham passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born on November 6, 1959 to the late Thomas Cunningham and Mary Cunningham and resided in the city of Winston-Salem, NC for the duration of her life.
Queenie was a faithful member of Life Changing Transformation Ministries and her faith and belief in the Lord was resolute. She had a big heart, was always willing to open her doors to those in need, never met a stranger, and was considered a good friend and adopted mother to many.
Queenie is preceded in death by her brothers Breon Monroe Case (Barbara Case), Thomas Cunningham, her nephew Darryl Covington, and other beloved family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Antwan Denard Cunningham and Jerrod Lamont Cunningham. Queenie had five remaining siblings, two brothers, Reginald Case (Lowtan, OK) and Bobby Cunningham (Renee Cunningham); three sisters, Plushie Johnson (Narvelle Johnson), Sandra Cunningham, and Sandra Cheeks (Curtis Cheeks Jr.); Three very special aunts, Shirley Covington Gwynn, Hattie Covington, and Ida Mae Cunningham; seven grandchildren; Quayshawn Robins, Danay Jackson, Jada Teal, Denard Cunningham, Jerrod Cunningham, Sincere Cunningham, and Gersontie Cunningham; Thirteen nieces and nephews, Arthur Covington, Archie Covington, Ricky Reaves, Jermaine Reaves, Joy Case Davis (Troy Davis-Norfolk VA), Monroe JB Case Jr., Tia Case (Suffork VA), Arshima Davenport, Cala Burney (Texas), Nicole Cunningham, Marquis Bailey (Alicia Bailey), Christopher Bailey (Antrovette Bailey), Bryan Cunningham, Chrishaunna Holoman, and Jay'Shawn Carpenter, Sheila Thompson, and a host of aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and close friends.
A public viewing will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services!
