Mr. Ronnie Ravon Douthit, 67, was born June 29, 1951 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He transitioned from life unto life on September 11, 2018 at his home.
He was born to the late Aaron and Geneva Porter Douthit.
Ronnie was a 1969 graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School and a 1973 graduate of East Carolina University, where he received a full scholarship for football. He was retired from Sonoco Corporation. Ronnie loved his family and friends and was an avid Los Angeles Raiders fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 11 years, Maria Aguilar Douthit.
Those left to cherish his memories are two brothers, Thomie D. Douthit of the city and Linville Douthit Jr., of Deltona, Florida; two sisters, Darlis Douthit (Dr. William) King of Englewood, New Jersey and Clara J. Douthit of Atlanta, Georgia. Stepchildren, Carlos (Mayela De la Cruz) Aguilar and Linda Baynes; five step grandchildren; A devoted aunt, Mary E. Douthit and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Galilee Baptist Church. Family visitation will begin at 11:30 am with service following at 12pm. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. The Douthit Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 2pm until 6pm at Douthit Funeral Services.
