"Helen Keller Life's journey for Shantel Monique Newmon began on February 8, 1989 in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Born to Sharon Denise Newmon. Shantel attended West Forsyth and Reynolds High School. She also attended Union Chapel Baptist Church and recently join The Sister Circle a women's prayer group. Shantel worked at Subway on the campus of Winston-Salem State University. Family and close friends remember Shantel's love for her family especially her children. Shantel will be remembered and missed by all whose path she crossed and the lives she touched. On Monday, February 15, 2021 life's earthly journey for Shantel Monique Newmon ended unexpectedly in Winston-Salem North Carolina.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her mother Sharon Denise Newmon, her three children, Jamari Martin Newmon, Jayceon Lamont Newmon, and Ja'Zaria Monique Martin of the home, one faithful grandmother Supream Newmon, of the city. One brother Edmund Lamont Newmon, one devoted cousin Kimberly Latrice Newmon (Mondra) of Greensboro NC. One aunt Berthina Newmon Thomas (Stacy) of Tobaccoville and one great aunt Almetter Chisholm of Winston-Salem NC, a special friend Kenney Martin and a host of other relatives and friends.A private Memorial services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 at Douthit's. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
