Life's journey for ....... Shirley Ann Covington began August 23, 1949, in Redbank N.C. born to Curtis and Ada Covington. Shirley attended Anderson High School late she began her spiritual walk becoming a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church where she was a member of the mass choir. back in the day as Shirley would say she sang with EBC Chorale of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Shirley worked at Thomasville Cotton Mills in Thomasville, NC until her health failed. Shirley still had work to do although her health was failing, she became an entrepreneur operating Gwynn's Floral Arrangements, Shirley will truly be missed by all who knew of her beautiful work. On Friday, September 23, 2022, Life earthly journey ended at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Surviving to cherish her precious memories are her husband of 56 years Robert A. Gwynn, devoted son Robert Anthony Gwyn AKA "Anthony" love of her life one and only grandchild Ashia S. Gwyn. One sister Hattie Convington, special niece Plushie Johnson, devoted best friend forever Ollie Parker, niece, nephews' cousin and a host of friends. A public viewing will be held Tuesday September 27, 2022, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 28, 2022, at 12pm from Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 11:30am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Service.
