Mr. Stacey Dion McCorkle got his heavenly wings and went home to be with our Father on November 27, 2023. Stacey was born in Winston-Salem, NC to Dr. Eugene McCorkle Jr and Elder Patricia Dean. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Eugene McCorkle Jr, his grandparents, Edward and Azalee Johnson, and Eugene and Minnie B. McCorkle. Stacey brought love, joy, and happiness to all he met. His favorite foods were Cake, Pie, Coke, Hamburger and of course French Fries. If you gave him any of them, he would consider you a friend and give you a big smile. He loved music and would dance and sing until you said STACEY; he would then burst out in laughter. He loved his siblings and
knew just how to get to them. Stacey attended Family Services HeadStart Program, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools as well as other programs across the city, Durham Key West Center where he worked at the Sheltered Workshop and lastly Friendly People that Care. Stacey leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Elder Patricia Dean, his Devoted Brother, Eugene
Barnette McCorkle III (Apostle Lisa), Sisters: Evangelist Tricia L. Robinson (Don), Scherrie M. Dean, Kristal D. Cooper (Radasma), and Brothers Terrence and Chan McCray. Aunts Earlene Yates, Wilhelmina Long, Bernestine C. Davis (Frank) and eleven nieces and nephews and eight great nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends. A public viewing will be held Friday December 1, 2023 at 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. from Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
