Thursday, July 14, 2022.
Teva, was a loving and compassionate person who loved people. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. Tava loved family gatherings and going on trips. Some of the stories she told kept the family and friends laughing for days.
The relationship she had with her son, daughter in-law, mother, brother, and grandson were not like any other. Tava was a wonderful big sister to her brother, taught him a lot and always had his back. She adored her family; they were her world. She wanted everybody to have a wonderful life. She had the courage and integrity to tell you who she was and offered herself to remind us all that none of us are perfect. She always enjoyed learning and achieving academic goals. Tava truly exemplified Acts 20:35; "It is more blessed to give than to receive." She loved cooking, traveling, and helping others.
Tava was proceeded in death by her Grandma Martha Leona Dean, Grandfather, Hubert Leak Dean, two aunts and one uncle.
Tava leaves a legacy that shows a long life of service to her family, community, church, and friends. During her early years, Tava was looked upon as the trend setter among her team members within the bowling league and she was fondly and affectionately known as the leader of her league. She was a person who was not going to give up, and if you told her no, she found a way to do whatever it was she needed to do. She was a loving, caring, giving person, and she loved everybody, and we really and truly loved her. She gave the Lord all the credit for making her life spiritually strong.
The memory of Tava's life is left to be cherished by her mother, Bishop Evelyn Irene Dean, whom she loved with all of her heart, Son, Rashalad Delano Dean, (Morgan), Grandson, Camden Delano Dean, Camry Quentesa Dean, Daughter, Marlon Yoeal Dean, Brother, Adolphus Crosby (Fiance), Devin, Nasyah, Desiree (God Grand Babies). A Host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins, A host of other family members and special church members, community and neighbors. Tava was an unspoken and vibrant young lady and Host of Hostess. She touched people hearts and souls through her cooking and Tava was a fun ball of energy. She loved her grandson and family with all her heart. She was an extremely kind, gentle person who seemed mostly unaffected by a lot of nonsense events. She was a real sweetheart - down-to-earth. Rest in peace, our Tava......you were absolutely one-of-a-kind! A memorial service will be held Friday July 22, 2022, at 2:30pm from Phillips Chapel Baptist Church. Thew family will receive friends at 2:00pm. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in care of Douthit Funeral Services
