Mrs. Viola S. Spencer of 2605 Fondly Road, Winston-Salem, NC departed this earthly life into eternal rest on Monday, November 7, 2022, at her home. She was born to the union of Willie and Josephine Anderson in Winston-Salem on February 21, 1938. Mrs. Spencer was a member of the Eastern Star. She was in the medical profession and loved nurturing foster children. Mrs. Spencer was a long-time member of Macedonia Worship Center where she was a faithful member of the Nursing Board. Mrs. Viola S. Spencer leaves to cherish her life and memory, five sons: Roland Sims (Caregiver), Robert (Dr. Michelle) McCormick of Clemmons, NC, Albert McCormick (Caregiver), Stanley McCormick of South Carolina, and Robert Spencer; three daughters: Viola D. Spencer, Briana Smith and Latreace Frieson; Fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; Brothers Willie (Barbara) Sims and Ike (Angela) Sims; Sisters Emma Eaton and Mary Jo Graham; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friend. A public viewing will be held Tuesday November 15, 2022, from 1pm until pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 16, 2022, at 11:30 am from Douthit's and interment will follow in Oakland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 11:00 am.
