Mrs. Wilma Jean McMillian (72) was called home to her loving Lord on December 20, 2020. She was born to the late Augustus Minor Sr. and Annie Lynch Minor, on July 16, 1948 in Mebane, NC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John McMillian, 1 brother Augustus Minor Jr., 2 sons Johnny Ray McMillian and Demond McMillian, 1 son-in-law Jimmy Lee, 2 brothers-in-law Joseph Lash and Denny Teague.
She was a member of Pleasant Union Progressive Primitive Baptist Church. For 22 years she acted as Vice President of the Usher Board, President of the Kitchen Committee, and a Deaconess. She leaves to Cherish in her loving memory 4 daughters, Teresa Lee, Paulette McMillian, Pamela Nelums (Marlon), Tammy Parker (Mack), and 1 son Mark McMillian (Chiquita), 5 sisters Priscilla Lash, Patsy Lampkins (Pastor Reginald Lampkins), Vanessa Spease (Willie), Patricia Wright, Lutisha Teague, and 3 brothers Curtis Minor, William Miner, and Tracy Miner, 28 Grandchildren, 45 Great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wilma Jean was also preceded in death by her devoted partner Paul Horne and Sister-in-law Deborah Ingram Minor. A public viewing will be held Sunday, December 27. 2020 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020.
