Mr. Wilson Southerland age 67, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation. Wilson was born in Maxton, NC on February 20, 1951. He attended Columbia Heights and Central High here in Winston-Salem. He worked through the years for Cooper Construction as a Concrete Finisher. He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Southerland, his sister Vivian McCoy of Maxton NC, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Eddie and Thelma Southern. He leaves to cherish his memory 4 brothers, James (Linda) McDougald of High Point NC, Gerald McCormick of Charlotte NC, Darryl Southern of SC and Barry Southern of NY. 3 sisters, Sherri (Mark) Jones of CA, Lisa Southern of the city and Tonya (Kenneth) Tate of the city, 2 dear aunts from Maxton NC, Mary McDougald and Geraldine McDougald and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family members. Wilson loved his family and friends. He was loved by those that knew him. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones. May his soul Rest in Peace. The family would like to thank Hospice for their kind and loving care. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1pm in the chapel of Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 12:30pm.
