Obituary

Betty Jo Long Mack passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at her home. She was a native of Winston-Salem, NC, the daughter of Dorothy Lucas. She retired from Wake Forsest University in 2006. She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and was an avid bowler with the Ebonites.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mack, Sr.; and two brothers. Survivors include her three children,Kenneth Long, Sr., Darlene Vinson, and Charles Mack, Jr.; Goddaughter, Debbie Cody; two close friends, Lorette Hughes and Faye Thomas; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three sisters, Gwendolyn Roberts,Darnese(Ervin),Avery (Jesse); two brothers, William(Cynthia) and David. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm from New Jerusalem Baptist Church, with family visitation beginning at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The remains may be viewed on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 2pm-6pm at Douthit Funeral Services.
