Christina Mclean departed this life on February 11, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Christina was born to the late Aaron Roan and Olivia P Gore in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on October 21. 1957. Christina attended Reynolds High School in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Later on in life , she started out as an aid helping with the children at ABC Child Development Learning Center. She enjoyed working with the children so much that she went on to get her credentials in child development at Forsyth Tech. After that, she started working at Wonderland Academy Daycare. In the Late 90's, she started working at The Sunshine House and continued to work there for over twenty years until she started having health problems in 2020. Christina devoted her life to Christ and in 1996 became a member of Union Baptist Church under Reverend Daniels located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Christina married Haywood D Mclean on August 16, 1998. They were together for 25 and married for 23 years. Christina's hobbies were going out having a good time, eating a good meal, listening to music, writing, and styling her hair. She also was dedicated to and enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially liked watching a good movie and hosting family events. Christina was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanie L. Gore, uncle James Franklin Marshall, and aunts Vivian Cochrane and Janie Penn. Christina is survived by her brother, John E. Gore, Jr ( Alexandria Gore), sister, Helen Gore, brother, William Bradley Gore ( Kuna Gore), son, William Gore(Tamara Whitt), daughter, Lashandra Robinson (Jamil Robinson), son, Wayne Wright (Tenicia Wright), stepson, Haywood Richardson, step daughters, Dianella Richardson, Shanntae Mclean and Jessica Smoot.
Grandchildren; Michael Montgomery, Devone Lineberger
Shallah Boxley, Jamil Robinson Jr., Kaleik Robinson , Akiree Robinson, Jabrea Gore, Jovon Gore and Maiyah Gore. Great grandchild, Alana Foster and a host of other relatives and friends. A public viewing will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
