Donny Lenard Shore, 60 years old of Winston-Salem NC was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on Monday Feb 22, 2021. Born May 10, 1960 to the late Donald Douthit and Sarah Jean Murray-Douthit. He was preceded in death by his daughter Shameka McCormick. Donny is survived by his daughters Jasmin(Kennard) Ross and Lauren Carpenter, son Darrius Ligons, brothers James(Geraldine) Shore, Larry(Wendy) Shore, Michael(Patrica) Shore, his sister Betty Lynne Shore, aunts Mary Edith Douthit, Annette Murray, nephews Kentavious Shore, Keddrick(Pete) Shore, Tony Shore, special niece Kora Lynne Shore, devoted cousin William Glenn, life long friend Carolyn Ross and a host of relatives and friends. Donny was a loving and Joyful man! Donny was a caring father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He always knew how to make someone laugh even when he didn't try! Donny had a special personality that only a few could understand. Donny has left a special mark with everyone that he had came encountered with! Per his Words "I lived and I died!" Donny will be truly missed by everyone that knew and loved him. A public viewing will be held Monday, March 1, 2021from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 2, 2021 and interment will follow in Parkland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
