James T. Mills passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. James was a 1999 graduate of Glenn High school. He matriculated to ECPI where he earned both a Bachelor and Master's Degree. James was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served his country for 13 years. He was currently an employee of Tyco. He was a lover of life as he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. As an only son, he shared a special bond with his mother. James will forever be cherished by his mother, Alice H. Hicks; father, James F. Mills, children, Khalid Jasir Mills, Amorie Delores Mills and Khaylan Arie Mills; sisters, Tameka Ziglar and Pamela Mills; a devoted big brother, Mohennon Hill; and a devoted friend, Nick Hogue. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Galilee Baptist Church. Family visitation will begin at 11 am with service to follow at 11:30 am. Interment with full military honors will take place at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. Mr. Mills may be viewed on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 2pm-6pm at Douthit Funeral Services.
