Ms. Teresa Ferguson Harris

Her Life Ms. Teresa Rena Ferguson Harris, aka “Love” was born on January 7, 1971, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late James Burton Ferguson and Maggie Bailey Ferguson. She swiftly departed this earthly realm on December 18, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. Teresa was a proud graduate of East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, North Carolina. She went on to build a long and faithful career at PepsiCo for 26 years. Her commitment, professionalism, and strong work ethic were evident throughout her career. Teresa was a devoted mother to her cherished son, Christian Devon Harris, who was the pride and joy of her life. In addition to her parents, Teresa was proceeded in death by her beloved sister Doreen Darsha Ferguson, and beloved brother Billy Bailey. Teresa leaves to cherish her memory a loving family that includes; her sisters Jacqueline G. Ferguson and Chrisogene Ferguson Leak (Alfred); nieces Lasheka D. Ferguson, Latoya F. Ferguson, Tracy Ferguson, Cerinity Ferguson, nephews Stephan G. Ferguson (Crystal), Timothy D. Ferguson, James B. Ferguson II (Netta), Breon James, along with a host of great neices and nephews, extended family, church family, friends, and loved ones. Teresa was a faithful, foundational, and groundbreaking member of Firm Foundation Outreach Ministries in Kernersville, NC, since 2013. She served under the leadership of Pastor Robert Minor and her bonus sister, Lady Donna Hines Minor. She played a vital role in assisting her leaders in the initial restoration process of the church building. Her dedication to her church family and service to the ministry reflected her strong faith and generous spirit. Ms. Teresa Rena Ferguson Harris will be remembered for her faithfulness, strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and church. Her legacy of service and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 12:00pm at New Direction Movement Cathedral. The family will receive friends at 11:30am from the church. At the request of the family there will be no public viewing on Friday, December 26, 2025. Arrangements are entrusted to the professionals care of Douthit Funeral Services.
