Antionette Marie Haynesworth, lovingly known as "Net" to many, transitioned on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
Net was born on January 12, 1942, to the late Joseph and Theresa Haynesworth. She was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Wilson and devoted friend Doris Bines. Net received her GED, earned a certificate as a nurse's assistant (CNA) and an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies. She worked seasonal for many years at Winston Export in Brookcove, worked at the Better Business Bureau and worked at R J Reynolds Tobacco Company (retiring after 26 years of service). She had been a member of the Red Hat Society and New Light Missionary Baptist Church. Net was a giver, very supportive and generous. You could always count on her.
She is survived by her five (5) children; Cassandra Moore (Letheria), Kelsey Haynesworth, Darin Haynesworth, Rodney Haynesworth and Raymona Haynesworth, Brother; Joseph Haynesworth, Sister; Endreana Stephens (John): grandchildren, Shavone, Rodrick, Kelsey, and Monae; several great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews / nieces and a host of cousins & friends.
Net loved doing crossword puzzles and having bible discussions. One of her favorite prayers was the Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the parthway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. "Amen". A graveside services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:00am in Evergreen Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
