Mr. Fred Brenard Commodore Jr.

July 6, 1969 - November 26, 2021

Fred Brenard Commodore Jr, 52, of Winston Salem, NC, peacefully passed away on November 26, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Fred was born on July 6th 1969 to Fred and Carlene Commodore both from the city of Winston Salem. After Fred graduated from Reynolds High School in 1987 he pursued a career in the US NAVY from 1988-1992. After leaving the Navy, he began a career in the many industries that Winston Salem has to offer. Fred was passionate about his work and this is where he met many and left his lasting impression on all who crossed his path. In 2004, he met Bennell Warren, and they would wed in front of the Justice of Peace that August. Later to go on to have their dream wedding in April 2006. A martial union of 17 yrs. Anyone who knew Fred, knew that he was kind, loving, caring and brilliant. He had an immense passion for helping people and was always a source of positivity. Fred’s family and friends will miss more than words can say. Fred was predeceased by his father Fred B. Commodore Sr, grandmother Rachel Gwynn, daughter Chelsey Powers and a beloved cousin Vernon Gwyn. He is survived by his wife Bennell Commodore, mother Carlene Commodore, sister Rosalyn Commodore. Children Nichole Stewart, Trenton Powers and Ciara Powers. A large host of aunts, cousins and uncles on both the Commodore and Gwyn side. A public viewing will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral service will be held Saturday December 4, 2021 at 2pm from Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 1:30pm. Arrangements are in the care
