    Bishop Horace L. Cutter Sr.

    March 30, 1933 - October 13, 2020

I, Bishop Horace Lee Cutter, Sr. was born on March 30, 1933 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Oliver Cutter in a small town called Sylvania, Georgia. My life was perpetuated by the fruit of true temperance as stated in Galatians 5:22-23. As the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. I confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized. Later, I became a minister of the good news of Jesus Christ and dedicated my life to the preaching and teaching of the gospel. I was joined in Holy matrimony with Willie Mae Cutter on July 12, 1953 and was blessed with ten children. My wife and I have been blessed to share our lives with many others who were grafted into our family and our attitude is one of gratefulness. Because of all of these fond memories, this is not a good bye, it is simply farewell. Today is not a time to cry, it’s time to celebrate the life and legacy that I have given to you for remembrance. So, join me in this victory celebration with my surviving brother, Robert Cutter of Jamaica Queens, NY and my children, Five sons- Willie Harvey Lee, Gregory Courtney, Ivan Maurice (Wanda), Horace Elliot (Shibana) and Walter (Monica). Five daughters – Alvita Byers (James), Marjorie Alice, Melissa (Stephen), Vanessa Ida Ruth, and Faith Elizabeth/Jacqueline Crystal (Patrick) and thirty-four grandchildren: Bryant, Kevin, Gregory Courtney, Horace Harvey Lee III (Tiah), James Calvin II (Shameka), Cedric Theodis, Kenyon Jerel, Marlaina Antwanette (Rodney), Albert Raymond, Courtney Annette, Lori Nicole, Antwan, Kevin Dane, Jehu-Perry Oliver, Matthew Stephen, Stephen IV, Keyanna Lauren (Dezmond), Marcus Lea, Gloria Imani (Dominque), Elisha Marie, Timothy Lee, Joshua Lee, Victoria Elizabeth, Daniel Ellis, Anastasia Hope, Elijah Ishmael, Alicia Nichole, Ethan Michael, Zeisha Janeé, Zandria Damica, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends followers and well-wisher. A public viewing will be held Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private service will take place Monday, October 19, 2020 and interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
