    Mr. Wade Pinkney

    November 2, 1952 - March 17, 2022

    Mr. Wade Pinkney was born November 2, 1952, to the late Robert and Daisy Mae Pinkney Sr. in Winnsboro, South Carolina. He transitioned from this life on March 17, 2022, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. He was raised in Winnsboro, South Carolina until he moved to Winston Salem, North Carolina where he met the love of his life Pamela and was married for over 47 years. Wade was a retired employee of Reynolds America, formerly (Taylor Brothers Tobacco company) after 47 years of employment. Wade enjoyed fishing, car shows, sports car racing, WNBA, cruises and spending time with family and friends. Affectionately known as “Blade” by family and friends, loved to see people smile when he brought them the biggest watermelons and cantaloupes you’ve ever seen. Blade was a natural born leader and loved to make sure all plans for anything we undertook were correct and on time. Wade was preceded in death by Robert (Daisy Maye) Pinkney Sr. one sister, Daisy Lee Owens. Wade leaves to celebrate his life his wife, Pamela Spease Pinkney, two children: Anthony Pinkney, Nicole (Keith) Peoples, five grandchildren: Caress Pinkney, A’niah Pinkney, Ja’Corey Pinkney, Jacob Pinkney, Poetri Peoples. Six brothers: Robert (Evelyn) Pinkney Jr., George (Marion) Pinkney, Bobby Pinkney, Earnest Pinkney, Willie Pinkney, and David Pinkney. A devoted traveler and friend, Virgina Cole. And one devoted friend, Faye Mills. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews. A public viewing will be held Friday March 25, 2022, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's, Funeral services will be held Saturday March 26, 2022, at 11:00am from Great Commission Community Church and interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 10:30am Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
