Abdul-Aziz Hanif Sears, born May 21, 2001, passed away on March 21, 2026.

Abdul was the beloved son of Tasia Wilson and stepson of Tralane Wilson. He was also the cherished middle child, surrounded by the love of his siblings, Tylen Sears and Zanyah Sears and step siblings. His bond with his family was filled with shared memories, laughter, and moments that will forever be treasured.

Abdul was known for his intelligence, quick wit, and natural humor that could light up any room. He had a gift for making others laugh. His presence was memorable, and his personality left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA and spent his early childhood in Durham, North Carolina, where he was lovingly reared by his aunt and uncle, Veronica and Hugh Perry, who played a foundational role in shaping his early years. Later, he moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he continued his journey through life.

Abdul's life will be remembered for the joy he brought, the laughter he shared, and the love that surrounds his memory.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 12:30pm at Douthit Funeral Services. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm from the Ronnie Douthit Chapel. There will be a public visitation on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 1pm until 5pm at the funeral home.
