Aiyana Chanel Griffith, known as Y'ana, was born in Syracuse, New York, on December
5, 1004, to Carlton Griffith. Sr. and the late Michele Conover Gist. Our beloved Yana
departed this life and was accepted into her heavenly father's arms on March 23, 2022.
Tana leaves behind to cherish her memories, her father, Carlton Griffith, Sr. and her
devoted, and loving father, of the home, fletcher Gist, Jr., two beautiful children,
Zai' Brooklynne and Micah Gist, four loving and devoted brothers, fletcher Gist Ill
(Destiny), Carlton Griffith (Haley), Omar Griffith and Elijah Gist; loving and devoted
grandparents, fletcher and Leona Gist, Si., and Nana Marsha Conover (Mary), loving
and devoted aunts, Cheryl Grimes, Shirley Gist (Dale), felicia Gist Inzar (Robert), and
Tahara Moore; a nephew, Kashton Gist, a niece. Amira Griffith; two devoted friends,
Enleisha Taylor and Na Teeya Isley, and a host of dedicated cousins, relatives and friends
who loved her dearly.
The family truly appreciates and would like to take the time to thank the following for their

God bless you richly. A public viewing will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral service will be held Friday April 1, 2022, at 12pm from Douthit's. Family will receive friends at 11:30 am. Arrangements are in care of Douthit Funeral Services.
