Mrs. Alicia Fields Williams, 72, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully at home on May 7, 2024. She was born on July 14, 1951, to Arthur and Mary Gamble. Alicia went to Anderson High School. She was a member of the Golden Girls.
She moved to Oakland, CA where she married John Williams III. She moved back to Winston-Salem to take care of her grandma (Alice Fields). She is a Member of Sisters of Bivouac #530. She was devoted to her Christian life. She loved to praise the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Williams III; her daughters, Kayla and Stephonie Fields; her parents, Mary and Auther Gamble; brother, Bernard Gamble and her second mother, Alice Mae (Molly) Fields.
She is survived by her loving daughter Bernetta "Renee" (Frederick) Davis; son, Jahavai Fields; daughter, DeAnna Fields; five grandchildren, LaDarrion Jackson, DeEricka Jackson, Dezhea Fields, Shaniqua Davis, Jaelah Fields; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Tangela Akanda; two nieces and two nephews; two loving Aunties, Sarah Fields and Elizabeth Hairston who along with Tabiatha Brantley and Dorothy Rice were her favorite partners in crime. She had many hosts of family and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday May 17, 2024, at 12pm from Douthit's. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
