Mr. Andrew "June" Davis Jr, 61, a resident of Winston-Salem departed this life on Thursday May 13, 2021. He was born June 26, 1959 in Winston-Salem, NC to the union of Andrew Davis Sr. and Odessa Abernathy Davis. "June" was educated in the Winston Salem/Forsyth County school system and graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1979. He enjoyed watching Western movies and Washington Redskins football and enjoyed cooking. He is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Davis Sr and nephews: Jermaine Davis and Teddy A Davis. He is survived by: his mother Odessa Abernathy Davis, son Andrew "Drew" Barr(Ramica Barr) of Gaithersburg, MD, grandchildren :Jordan, Neveah, Andrew Barr Jr, and Natalia, siblings: Margie Dickerson of Andrews SC, Sylvia (Bernard) Williams of Columbia SC, Teddy L. Davis of Washington, DC as well as Debra Rucker, Donna Glenmore, Timothy Davis (Jerrlyn) and Rev. Keith Davis all of the city, a host of nieces, nephews , other relatives. A public viewing will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 12:00pm from St. Stephen Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at 11:30am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
