Khi'meir Bass, just 53 days old, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born on December 30, 2025, in Christiansburg, Virginia. Khi'meir brought immense joy and love to his family during his brief but precious time on Earth.

He is survived by his loving parents, Miasia Garner and Johnathan Bass. Though his time with us was far too short, the love they shared will forever remain in our hearts. His family, including aunties, uncles, cousins, And his very special memom ( Lara garner). All who knew him, deeply feel the loss of this beautiful and cherished baby boy.

Khi'meir's mother shares these heartfelt words:
"It broke my heart to lose you, but you did not go alone. A part of me went with you the day God called you home. A million times I've thought of you; a million times I've cried. If loving could have saved you, you would have never left.?Forgive me Lord; I'll always weep for my son I loved so much but yet I could not keep. Sweet dreams, my angel."

Though his life was brief, Khi'meir's memory will live on as a source of comfort and love for those who held him dear. May he rest peacefully in the arms of angels. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Douthit Funeral Services. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 AM in the chapel prior to the service.
