Obituary

Bobby Jesse Ingram was born on March 23, 1935 to the late Erskie and Cora Lee Martin Ingram in Winston-Salem, NC. He slept into sweet eternity surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Novant Medical Center.
He was a 1953 graduate if Atkins High School. Upon his graduation he enlisted in the US Army. After his tour of duty, he joined the Air Force, faithfully serving our country for 20 years.
He attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church during his youth and upon returning, home, he became a member and served faithfully.
He was active in the community serving as Chairman of Trustee and Vice Choir Methodist Men.
Throughout his life, Bobby enjoyed time with his family and friends. He was a loving and generous person who had compassion for others. Uncle Bobby was a beautiful soul who touched the lives of many. He was loved dearly and will be sorely missed and forever remain in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his son, Antonia, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters.
He leaves memories to be cherished by his loving wife, Gloria Fields Ingram; son, Robert Ingram Jr. of Baltimore, Md; Granddaughter, Monai Proctor; grandsons, Antonio Ingram and Avery Ingram; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ingram; brothers, Caesar (Margaret) and Calvin Ingram of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters, Anna (Clarence), Gilliam and Carolyn (Ben) Gray of Kernersville, NC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A memorial service will be held Monday February 13, 2023, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. There will be no public viewing, Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
