Obituary

On Saturday, July 17th Mr. Brandon Wade Bowman made his journey to be with the Lord. Brandon was born, July 26, 1982 to the late, Nathaniel "Pete" Miles Jr and late Cynthia Bowman. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Miles Anthony Bowman Sr.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his children - three daughters, Brianna Chadwick, Serenity Cynthia Bowman and Mia Miles Bowman and one son, Ian Brandon Bowman and a special son Ali Nwabuoku . Brandon was the older brother to one brother, Marquis Miles and two sisters, Nateeja and Natasha Miles.
Adored by devoted sisters, with a bond unbreakable Cha'na (Nick) Lloyd and Mar'na (Bigg Al) Mayers. A mother figure - Martis Perry. 5 Nephews: Juvonte Reddie, Miles Bowman Jr, Billie Mason V , Albert Mayers Jr, & Kingston Miles- Frazier. 5 Nieces: Barbara Banks, Shareka Bowman, Mi'Ana Hilliard, Zoe Woods & Ayanna Miles. And host of extended family and friends.
Brandon was an awesome, son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He lived a full life and was loved beyond measure. He will truly be missed by all that he encountered.
Brandon has always had a love of sports. He was a member of the "98-99 championship winning varsity basketball team, at Parkland High School where he graduated in 2001. Brandon played on the South Carolina State University &
University of North Carolina at Pembroke's (UNCP) basketball teams. He later transferred to North Carolina Central (NCCU) where he was a star athlete , and later graduated with a degree in Psychology from the university. He also played Competitive Adult League basketball while residing in New York with the NYC Basketball League. He also developed life long friends through his fantasy football which he loved dearly.
Brandon obtained his certification as a State of New York Teaching Assistant. His love for children and underserved communities led him to serve in many roles such as, Child Protective Specialist, Case Manager, Residential Counselor, and CommunityGuardianthatallowedhimtogiveback. HewasanoverallGREAT man, and he will be missed but dearly remembered and upheld by al. A public viewing will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at Douthit's from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private funeral services will be Saturday, July 30, 2021 and interment will follow in Oak Grove Church Cemetery.
