The lord is my Sheppard, I want not for he has called me home. Calvin Frank Mitchell, Jr., was born November 22,1959 to the late Sophia Pearline Mccorey and Calivin Frank Mitchell Sr., in Salisbury North Carolina. Calvin Jr., aka CJ and Eddie love the Washington Redskins. Our number one grill man at family functions. He loved sports, domino's, reading and making people laugh and all types of music. Calvin attended school in Rowan and Forsyth County. HE graduated from R J Reynolds High School 1978. He was employed at Discount House, Sou Chef at Ryans Restaurant, Wall Rope Company Haywood Pools and Weave Fertilizer Company. Calvin loved working outdoors. He is proceeded in death by a brother Eddie L. Mithcell and sister Amy Mitchell Douthit. Calvin leaves to morn a son Kente Morrison, daughter Shunta Moore and Lera Mitchell. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Sisters Cynthia Mitchell and Denise Jones of Salisbury, NC. Brothers Dale (Robin) Mitchell, Alex (Etundra) Mitchell, Kevin (Dorneswalo) Mccorey. Aunts Magdalene (Frank) Oglesby, Viola Thompson and Barbara Mccorey of New Jersey. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. A memorial service will be held May 6, 2023, at 11:00am from Douthit's. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
