January 17, 1958- July 21, 2020 Carlton Lee Rucker Sr. 62, unexpectedly passed away, July 21, 2020 at home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with family. He was born on January 7, 1958 in Davie, North Carolina to Carlton Rucker Sr. and Marian (Doulin)Rucker. He married Sharon (Worthy) Rucker, September 23, 1976 in Winston Salem NC; Carlton Lee Rucker Sr. is survived by five children: Rosa Rucker of Portsmouth, VA, Deticia Rucker of Winston Salem, NC, Carlton Lee Rucker Jr of Lenoir, NC , John Rucker of Winston Salem NC, and Curtis Rucker of Charlotte, NC.
He was proceeded in death by his father Carlton Rucker Sr. and mother Marian Doulin. He is survived by five brothers Albert S. Rucker ( Wyteria) of Walkertown, NC, Marcus Rucker of Winston Salem NC, Carlton Rucker Jr (Helen) of Have de Grace Maryland, Leo Rucker (Angela) of Winston Salem NC and Gilbert Rucker (Andrea) of Tomball , TX. Two Sisters, Paulette Rucker and Lois (Sterling Samuels) both of Winston Salem NC as well as 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and worked at Walmart for 11 years.
There will be a public visitation Monday July 27, 2020 at 2pm until 5pm at Douthit Funeral Services 515 Specialty Park Drive Winston Salem, NC 27105 and a private service Tuesday July 22, 2020 at Douthit Funeral Services.
