Charles "Bud" Grant was born on December 15, 1953, in Forsyth County, North Carolina to the late George and Willie Pearl James. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He attended Parkland High School and Forsyth Community College. Bud was employed and retired from Pepsi Bottling Company.
Those left to cherish and honor his memories is a daughter, NaKiesha Robinson and son Tmarko Chandler and grandson Tyree Kirby both of Winston- Salem. A very devoted friend Lowana Robinson, three sisters, Georgiana Lewis, Louise (Wesley) Miles and Susan James, a brother Jerome (Patricia) James all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with a host of nephews, and nieces and dear friends. A public viewing will be held Tuesday March 12, 2024, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 13, 2024, at 10:30 am from First Waughtown Baptist Church and interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
