Charlie J. Thomas. Jr,. son of the late Charlie J., Sr. and the late Gattie Sims Thomas, was born February 18, 1957 in Blackville, South Carolina.
At an early age, Charlie joined the Macedonia Baptist Church and remained until moving to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he attended Union Baptist Church.
He attended Blackville Public Schools and was a graduate of Blackville High School Class of "1975."
"Charles" or "Rooster" as he was affectionally known, will be remembered for his kind, loving and humorous disposition.
Survivors include -- Four sisters: Eva T. Martin (Daniel), Deborah L. Thomas, Cynthia T. Mole (Adolph) and Pamela Y. Thomas all of Blackville, South Carolina: One adopted sister: Rev. Beverly J. Ashley of Williston, South Carolina: One brother: An'Dino L. Thomas of Greensboro, North Carolina: Two Aunts: Mrs. Nettie M. Thomas of Blackville, South Carolina and Mrs. Mildred (Spurgeon) Godwin of Hampton, Virginia; One sister in law: Claretta C. Thomas of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Faithful friends: Gloria Hobson and Gregory Sullivan Of Winston - Salem, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
