.Mr. Clifford Joyce Jackson Jr., passed in peace on Friday February 18, 2022. He was born January 24, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford Joyce Jackson and Magdalene F. Jackson, sisters Denise Simmons and Alicia Kay Jackson. He attended RJ Reynolds High School. He served in the United States Army. While in the Army, Clifford was assigned to the US Army 82nd Airborne Division. He served 7 years and was awarded the Parachute Badge, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Air Assault Badge, and the Sharpshooter Badge. Clifford retired from Krispy Kreme after 20 years of service.
He leaves behind a son MSgt Clifford Jackson III and daughter in law, Tierra, with four grandsons (Clifford IV, Ciddney, Cuinncy, and Cammden). He also leaves behind his beloved daughter Daina and son in law, Lt Jonathan Rumley, 2 precious grand-daughters Daye and Jade and devoted friend and former wife, Deborah Moore.
Clifford also leaves behind 2 brothers Nathaniel Fleming and Kevin Dino Jackson, 5 sisters, Paulette Robinson (Willie V), Andrea Jarrett (Paxon), Tanya Dalton (James), Tara Turner (Rodney), Trina Crosby (James) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Clifford, better known as Pep, loved to read, listen to good music and have a good time.
He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him. A public viewing will be held Tuesday February 22, 2022, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday February 23, 2022, at 2pm from Douthit's. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
