Dante Jamison Wyse, affectionately known as Te' the Kid and Donny James, departed suddenly and unexpectedly on February 2, 2025. Dante was born on May 11, 2001, to Charles Wyse and Sparkle Clark-Jessup in Forsyth County. During Dante's time on Earth, he brought us all unforgettable memories and amounts of laughter, joy and love.
He was a self-taught musician and artist that played lead and bass guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboard and other percussion instruments. As a young child, he could hear any song and play it note for note. He loved to skateboard and could often be seen throughout the city soaring through the sky. He was a graduate of Carver High School and was voted "Mr. Carver" and "Most Talented" by his peers, in his Senior year.
Dante's love of music and individual style was prevalent throughout his life. He was a vibrant and vivacious performer. He also collaborated, produced and performed many songs for various local artists and talents. His live performances consisted of rap, hip-hop, rock, and funk where he played various instruments. He lit up the stage and was a showman at heart. He brought immeasurable joy and light to all the lives he touched. His kind heart and keen sense of unique style will be missed.
Dante was a free spirit with a sensitive soul and lived his life to the fullest. He truly believed that people should make sure that they "Protect their hearts and energy". Though his time was brief, the depth of love and happiness he shared will always be in our hearts, minds and souls. You could always see and hear him cruising around, in his Ford Mustang, hair breezing in the wind. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, and nephew who enjoyed sharing his love for music with all who listened.
