Mr. Dexter Deon Young, age 65, received his wings on Monday, April 7, 2025 at The Oaks Nursing Home, following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Overseer Ralph C. Young, Sr. & Pastor Dorothy G. Young.

Dexter had a true servant heart, and served faithfully for most of his adult life at Jericho Missionary Baptist Church, Touching Hands Community Outreach, and Ordained Deacon at Fellowship Tabernacle Church. Before falling ill, Dexter worked as a Dietician/Chef. Food and family were two of his greatest joys.

Dexter leaves to cherish the memories of his life, his only surviving Uncle, John Frank Young. Brothers - Rashad, Samuel "Philly" (Hazel), Ralph (Franchesca), Joshua (Ebony), Sister's - Theresa (Kevin) & Tameika and a village of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 12, 2025, at 2pm from Douthit's. They will be no public viewing.
