Edward S. Durham Jr was born to Edward S. Durham Sr, and Minister Gladys Gray Durham on August 21st 1957 in Philadelphia, PA but raised in Norristown, PA where he attended Public School.

He was a retiree and disabled. Growning up he was a member of Ebenezer Methodist church under the fellowship of Pastor Albert N. Jorman Sr.

Edward Loved the Lord, He was a member of Saint Peter's World Outreach under leadership of Pastor James C. and Mrs. Joyce Hash.

He was also in a quartet group with his friends growing up and also worked in radio at one time. His friends called him Dr. Boo or Deacon.

He loved to sing at church; he would sing for the mother's board on Monday and Wednesday morning prayer. Edward was a Redskins fan for many years. He just had a great love for people. He didn't meet strangers.' He would talk to people he didn't even know.


Edward passed on February 7, 2024, at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife Elvonia B. Durham. Three sisters, Arlene Durham, Minister Sharon Nelson (Darius), Yvonne Durham, and one brother Danny Durham (predeceased in death) six Brothers. His children are (sons) Siree C. L. Durham of Winchester Va, Javon E Taylor. of Boston Mass (Lisa). (Daughters) Fatima A Tibbs Raleigh NC, Lavonne S. Clarke,

Mil Anndred I. Davis and Glorya R. Bortz, all of Winchester Va. Grandchildren Kaleb C Taylor, Eliya F Mosley, Journee Tibbs, D.J. Tibbs. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday February 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. There will be no public viewing.
