Elijah Henry Hilton Jr. was born July 10, 1985, in Winston-Salem NC to Elijah H. Hilton Sr. and Yolanda Thompson. He departed this life on Tuesday April 11, 2023, after a brief illness. Elijah attended WSFC Schools, participating in wrestling and football at Mt. Tabor High School. He worked for Access Employment Agency for many years until his health declined.

"Bud" as he was known to his family and friends, was sharing, kind and dedicated to everyone he loved.

He is proceeded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents: Rev, David A Hilton (Margie Ruth Hilton) and Cora Lee and Leroy Hubert Thompson. Sister Gwendolyn Terri Hilton, uncles Billy, Derry, William, and Jessie Thompson. Two aunts Barbara Hailey and Mazarene Hart

Cherishing precious memories are Bud's father and mother Elijah and Yolanda Hilton. One sister, Elisha Nicole Hilton of Winston-Salem, one nephew Jeremiah Elijah Walker. Four aunts Iwana Johnson (Thomas), Oglatha Coleman, Silvia Champman (Tyrone) and Mae Mack. Twelve uncles, Bobby Thompson of Colorado Spring Colorado, Malcom Thompson Kileen of Texas, Ronald Thompson of Durham, NC, Terry Thompson (Emma) of North Carolina, Freddie Thompson of Gibson, NC, Eddie Thompson of Laurel Hill, NC, Harold Hilton, David Hilton, Danny Hilton (Shirley) and Joseph Hilton all of Baltimore, MD. A host of cousins throughout the United States.

"Bud" or Big Bud" as he was known by his family and friends, was truly a unique individual who lived life to the fullest and was one of the funniest people ever known. Through his life and even when his health declined, he loved his family and friends. He was quick with his wit, smiles and chuckles. He has left us to cherish many memories of which we will always remember. There will never be another "Bud". We will love you forever. A public viewing will be held Friday April 21, 2023, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11:30am from Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 11:00am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Home Services.
