Mrs. Emma Sims Eaton, daughter of the late Josephine Sims Anderson and Willie S. Anderson was born on February 5, 1939, in Winston Salem, NC. She departed this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Albert Sims, Jimmy Sims, Viola Spencer, Willie Sims, Mary Graham, and a daughter Phyllis Eaton. Mrs. Eaton retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was presently attending Goler Memorial AME Zion Church of Winston Salem. She leaves to cherish her memory a brother Isaac (Angela) Sims of Winston Salem, sister-in-law Barbara Sims, children James (Sheryl) Eaton, Donna Smart, Vivian Eaton, Reginald (Amy) Eaton of Winston Salem NC, Christopher (Donna) Eaton of Charlotte NC, Marcus (Keisha) Sims of Tampa, Florida and Christine Conners who was like a daughter. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 14, 2024, at 11:00 am from Goler Memorial AME Zion Church. There will be no public viewing.
