Eula Mae Cunningham of Winston Salem, NC was a devoted mother, grandmother,
great- grandmother, aunt and friend. She quietly departed this earthly life on Friday, March
4,2022, at the age of 95.
Eula was born in Lancaster, SC on August 6, 1926, to Robert C. Cunningham and Queen
Dixon Cunningham, she was the youngest of 8 and as a young child Eula's family migrated to
Winston- Salem, NC where she attended WSFC public schools. Eula was a member of United
Cornerstone Baptist Church where she was honored as the oldest member of the church. She
was employed by Thomasville Funiture where she worked until she retired in 1982. Eula soon
realized she was bored staying home so she returned to work for Lutheran Senior/Assisted
Living. Eula was a strong willed person and did not mind working so she later became employed
by the Winston
Salem Transit Authority where she worked until her final days of retirement at the ripe age of 92.
Eula was loved, admired and respected by everyone she encountered. She loved the Lord
and would always say to her friends and family "I'm talking to the Lord and praying for
everybody". Eula had a kind and loving heart, she donated to various charities and was always
willing to help when needed. Her favorite pastime was sitting on the porch, watching Walker
Texas Ranger, Nick Cannon, and all of the judge shows. One of her most memorable
experiences was her first plane ride to Baltimore, MD where she was surprised with a cruise to
