Mrs. Evelyn H. Clark was born August 29,1932 in Winston-Salem, NC. She retired from Union Baptist Church Daycare where she worked for many years. She was devoted and has nurtured many kids. She was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church where she served on the nurse's board, and a faithful member of the Claude/Rucker Birthday Club.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years Mr. Pete (Tom)Clark, her mother Mary Hatchett, sister Willie Kay Hatchett, nephew Thomas Hatchett, sister-in-law Mrs. Alberta Black, and devoted friend Mrs. Catherine Brown.
She is survived by her stepdaughter Mrs. Willie Mae (Cookie) (Bernard) Hardin, nieces and nephews Loretta Hatchett, Iris Hatchett, Otia Boyd, Tyrone Hatchett, Elroy Hatchett, Guscil Hatchett, and Anthony Hatchett.
Her loving and devoted God Daughter Louise Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A public viewing will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 1pm from Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
