Georgia Mae Horne was born to the late Lorraine Horne on December 8, 1954. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
Georgia attended Hanes High School. She retired from Kaba Illco in Winston-Salem an assembler. With a passion for community outreach, Georgia also worked at the Bethesda Center for the Homeless. She could be found in her community educating people about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and STDs. She provided contraceptives to those in need.
Georgia leaves to cherish her memories her son, Marlon (LaToya) Horne, of Winston-Salem, NC, her grandchildren, Morgan Wilson, Jaden Horne, Mason Horne, and Ryan Horne, her sister, Patricia Horne, of Winston-Salem, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. A memorial service will be held Wednesday September 24, 2025, at 12pm from Douthit's. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
